Carrie is a Michigan native, who recently returned to the Detroit area after nearly a decade in Manhattan. She grew up heavily involved in music, theatre, and dance, training in all three areas from a young age, and performing with groups such as Windsor Light Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, and Grosse Pointe Theatre. She was especially active in her high school programs, performing in a number of dramatic and musical productions, touring Europe with the choral music program, and ultimately leading the show choir program as dance captain during her final year.
After graduating from Grosse Pointe South High School, she attended the University of Michigan, where she received a BFA in Theatre as an actor. She performed in several Main Stage shows there, playing Emily in Our Town, Ginette in Almost, Maine, and Ellen/Mrs. Saunders/Victoria in Cloud Nine. She was also privileged to perform in Broadway Impact’s U of M staged reading of 8 : The Play while pursuing her degree, and worked on a variety of student driven productions, performing in the musicals Hair and Bare, and designing costumes and props for several other plays.
Durning her time in Ann Arbor, Carrie also portrayed outspoken college student Conservative Sarah in the feature film “Answer This!”, working with actor Chris Gorham, director Chris Farah, and producer Mike Farah. She was part of the summer stock casts at Theatre West Virginia three times, acting in productions such as Footloose, Hatfields and McCoys, The Wizard of Oz, and Rocket Boys: The Musical.
Since moving to New York, Carrie has worked as a background performer in a number of episodes of Saturday Night Live, has starred in two episodes of “Dating and Auditioning: The Web Series”, and has performed live at the New York Thespis Festival, On the Spot, and the Performer’s Career Center.
Recently, Carrie has begun working independently as an audiobook narrator. She narrated three books in the Clearwater Witches series by Madeline Freeman, which are available on Audible and other audiobook platforms now. She is currently working on other audio projects, and plans to continue to expand her narration career further in the coming years.
She is a member of SAG/AFTRA and Actor’s Equity, and is currently seeking representation.
